The Comfort
The Comfort follows Ala, a young woman who finds herself on a container ship, as the world she knows it ends around her.
One day in this bleak environment she finds a monkey in her cabin. He becomes her comfort.
The Comfort was developed and presented as my final project for my MA in Illustration Authorial Practice at Falmouth University. It won the Graphic Literature prize of my graduating class.
